Project Summary

The project focused on creating functional, compliant, and aesthetically pleasing restrooms equipped with high-quality accessories to meet both ADA standards and the client’s specific needs.

Key Project Elements

  1. Bathroom Partitions:
    • Installed durable, high-quality partitions in each bathroom. The partitions were chosen for their resistance to wear and tear, ensuring long-term durability in a high-traffic environment.
    • The design also focused on privacy and ease of maintenance.
  2. ADA Compliant Accessories:
    • Grab Bars: Installed grab bars at ADA-compliant heights in all bathrooms to ensure accessibility and safety for all users.
    • Mirrors: Mounted mirrors at ADA-specified heights, ensuring they are accessible for individuals in wheelchairs.
    • Toilet Paper Dispensers: Positioned dispensers at 15-19 inches above the floor and within the required 7-9 inches from the toilet, as per ADA regulations.
  3. Additional Accessories:
    • Installed soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and hand dryers at accessible heights to ensure ease of use for all individuals.
    • Feminine hygiene product dispensers and sanitary napkin disposal units were also installed, with a focus on user convenience and compliance with accessibility guidelines.

Challenges and Solutions

  • Challenge: Limited space in some of the bathrooms required careful planning to ensure ADA compliance without compromising functionality.
    • Solution: Our team worked closely with the client to customize the layout of each bathroom, ensuring all accessories were strategically placed to maximize space while adhering to ADA standards.
  • Challenge: Coordinating the installation with ongoing operations at Southwest Gas.
    • Solution: We executed the project in phases, minimizing disruptions and ensuring that the facility remained operational throughout the construction period.
